The number of Finnish organizations adopting AI grew by more than 30%, from 12% in 2020 to 16% in 2021. Finland holds the 2nd place in terms of AI adoption in the Nordics and the 3rd place in the EU (the European Commission, 2022). Moreover, it has excellent AI growth potential, holding the 3rd position after the US and Singapore (Accenture, 2017). However, Finland’s market size, risk-averse mentality and the lack of foreign investments are its main weaknesses, recognized in the national AI strategy (the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, 2017).
